The 60-year-old, of Tithe Barn Road, Stafford, was crushed between a lorry and a trailer at Tuffnells Parcels Express in Brierley Hill on January 22.

Coroner's investigator Russell Williams told an inquest at Sandwell Coroners Court yesterday 'Mr Jardine received fatal injuries when he was trapped'.

He was pronounced dead at the scene on the The Wallows Industrial Estate, in Fens Pool Avenue, at 10.59pm. Mr Williams confirmed post-mortem results have been recorded as crushing to the chest and abdomen. Senior Black Country coroner Mr Zafar Siddique adjourned the inquest until a pre-inquest hearing on March 16.
