Members of the friends of Dudley Hippodrome have formed with other enthusiasts and industry experts to create a new steering group.

They believe they can add weight and detail to the friends' group's business plan which has been dismissed by Dudley Council bosses.

Steering group chairman Dave Mundon works in the hospitality industry and owns a cafe at The Waterfront, in Brierley Hill.

He says that the group is working rapidly to have a revised proposed with the council before the New Year's Eve deadline.

Members hope to then create a full detailed plan in the new year and propose to talk with council officials shortly.
