There was trouble at the Manor Tavern, in Portland Street, Aston, on the day.

One person was left with a minor head injury, and windows at the pub were boarded up.

Sgt Mick Wilkinson, from the Force Football Unit, said: "A significant policing plan was in place which meant there was little cross-over between the two sets of fans before and after the game which helped to reduce any confrontations. We also worked closely with our offender management unit to identify and visit some individuals before the match.

"However, the behaviour displayed by this small number of grown men is as disappointing as it is unacceptable and it will not be tolerated.

"We would urge anyone who witnessed this disorder, or anyone who can identify those involved, to contact us immediately."
