Sarah Foley's son Freddie passed away just 54 minutes after being born just 23 weeks into her pregnancy.

Devastated Sarah and partner Ricky were able to spend some time with their son thanks to a cuddly cot at Dudley's Russells Hall Hospital, which helped them through the difficult time.

The refrigerated cots allow bereaved parents to spend up to 72 hours with their babies which have either been stillborn or passed away shortly after birth.

Russells Hall only has one of the cots and Miss Foley, aged 28, from Brierley Hill, was determined to provide the unit with more so parents didn't go without.

She has so far raised £700 in just a few weeks with the help of friends through a crowd funding website as well as raffles and bucket collections and is hoping to keep the money coming in. Cuddle cots cost around £1,500 each.

Miss Foley said: "It allows parents to keep their baby in the room with them and spend some time with them. It allows you to make memories."
