WATCH: John Lewis Christmas advert 2015 sends man to the moon
John Lewis has become the latest big name to release its hotly Christmas advert for 2015 - The Man on the Moon.
Backed by an Aurora cover of Oasis's Half the World Away, the ad shows a young girl looking at the moon through a telescope in her living room.
She spies an elderly man living a quiet life up on the moon and decides to deliver him a festive message.
Created in partnership with Age UK, the video urges people to 'Show someone they're loved this Christmas'.
2015 is the earliest that Christmas adverts have ever been screened in the UK.
The John Lewis film follows the release of several Christmas commercials, including by Asda's 'Because it's Christmas' and Lidl's 'School of Christmas' adverts.
Specialised adverts have become a feature of the festive period in recent years, with companies seeking to outdo each other each year.
