Sandwell Deaf Community Association
The Sandwell Deaf Community Association work tirelessly to ensure that people with hearing difficulties don't get left behind.
The charity group are looking to hire an interpreter to help with its wide range of services.
It offers an advocacy service to ensure that deaf peoples rights are upheld and offers various training opportunities so they can compete in the job market.
More practical help is offered by the groups interpreters who make phone calls and translate letters for members.
It also runs a weekly youth group and a summer club for deaf and hard of hearing children.
The groups interpreters also help members with meetings, doctors and dentist appointments, funerals, parents evenings, training days and solicitors appointments.
While the charity stretches it resources as far as it possibly can, hiring interpreters for so many varied occasions is extremely costly.
