Plans for hundreds of extra car spaces at Stafford's County Hospital
Health bosses want to expand County Hospital car park by 300 spaces within the next three years.
Chiefs also plan to redevelop the main entrance at Weston Road after stating it was not ideal for disabled visitors.
University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust, which run the Stafford-based hospital, have already obtained planning permission to develop 94 extra spaces.
But at the board's annual general meeting bosses confirmed an intention to install a further 200.
It comes as the trust have drawn up a business case for an additional 500 spaces at Royal Stoke University Hospital in the north of the county which has seen numerous services such as paediatrics transferred from Stafford this year.
Director of corporate services John Simpson, said: "For disabled people the main entrance at Stafford is in the wrong place because there is no disabled parking in that area. So it is part of our plans to address that and we are looking at options for extra parking.

"It is not something we can do overnight.
"We would like to achieve 300 if we can but there is a lot of construction going on at County Hospital already so we can't do everything at once.
"But it's something we want to do in the next three years to improve patient experience."
