Murder arrest after woman's body found at West Bromwich house
West Midlands Police have arrested a man on suspicion of murder after the body of a 26-year-old woman was discovered at a house in Chapel Street in West Bromwich.
The body was found just before 11.30am yesterday and a murder investigation launched. The woman is yet to be formally identified, but police arrested a 52-year-old man late last night.
Detective Inspector Martin Slevin, from West Midlands Police CID, said: "At the moment it remains unclear exactly when this incident happened and our investigation is on-going.
"We're appealing to anyone who has seen any suspicious activity in Chapel Street this week to contact us as soon as possible on 101.
"A man has been arrested but our investigation is still in the early stages and we want to hear from anyone who can provide information that could help us."
