Five in court after Black Country drugs raids

Five people arrested in dawn raids in the Black Country yesterday have appeared before Birmingham Magistrates.

Those who appeared in court are:
  • Unemployed Stacey Hilton, 27, of Sandfield Road, West Bromwich stood accused of conspiracy to supply a controlled drug. She was released on court bail to re-appear before Birmingham Crown Court in June.

  • Unemployed Adam Padmore, 34, of Beacon View Road, West Bromwich stood accused of conspiracy to supply a controlled drug. He was remanded into custody to re-appear before Birmingham Crown Court in June.

  • Unemployed Andrew Baker, 33, of Ramsey Close, West Bromwich stood accused of conspiracy to supply a controlled drug. He was released on court bail to re-appear before Birmingham Crown Court in June.

  • Unemployed Gareth Dawson, 29, of Sandfield Road, West Bromwich stood accused of conspiracy to handle stolen goods. He was remanded into custody to re-appear before Birmingham Crown Court in June.

During their brief appearance at court, co-accused Darren Vincent - also known as Darren Attwell - of Southey Close, Willenhall, Walsall pleaded guilty to conspiracy to handle stolen goods.

Unemployed Vincent, 31, will be sentenced at Birmingham Magistrates Court on June 8.

Two other men arrested yesterday are due to before Birmingham Magistrates Court on May 22.

Unemployed Anthony Noon, 36, of no fixed address is charged with three counts of being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine.

Unemployed James Brennan, 28, no fixed address is charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine and conspiracy to handle stolen goods.

All were arrested as part of a Sandwell-wide crackdown on suspected criminals codenamed Spring Safer Six.

Safer Six is a long-running Sandwell-based operation which has helped drive down crime levels across the borough to an all-time low.
