Three arrested after stolen goods discovered in Codsall crash

Three men have been arrested after a car involved in a crash in Codsall was found to contain suspected stolen goods.

Police tried to stop the car in Wolverhampton Road but it sped off onto Birches Road.

A short distance later it crashed into a hedge.

And officers who then searched the car found a number of suspected stolen items.

Three men from Wolverhampton aged between 17 and 21 were checked over by paramedics at the scene but did not need to go to hospital.

They were all arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods and later bailed pending further inquiries.

A fourth man was seen to make off from the vehicle but despite extensive searches by officers and police dogs he hasn't been found.

The man is described as white, 5ft 4in, slim and wearing a blue top.
