The project 'Achieving Together' will work with in excess of 1,000 people over a five year period with the aim of improving their economic prospects through skills development, employment support and advice on money management.

Bashir Ahmed MBE, chairman of Community Connect Foundation, said: "We are delighted to receive a continuation grant from the Big Lottery Fund for our Achieving Together project.

"These funds will enable us to work closely with residents of Smethwick to improving their skills, capacity and confidence levels and supporting them to access employment opportunities. This project will ensure that residents of Smethwick continue to have every opportunity to reach their full potential."
