Hunt for Good Samaritan after man beaten at Black Country bus stop

A man waiting for a bus in the Black Country was punched to the ground before being kicked by the attacker who then fled.

Police have launched an appeal in a bid to trace two people captured on CCTV who may be able to help with the investigation.

Officers say a white Ford Focus driven by a witness and a pedestrian who also may have seen what happened.

Both the car and are clearly visible in the area from the footage issues through West Midlands Police.

Police say the victim, aged 59, was waiting at the bus stop, in Dudley Street, West Bromwich, when the incident happened.

He was approached by the attacker, who said something he did not understand.

When asked to repeat himself, the man lashed out and punched the victim in the face before fleeing.

Police today released this CCTV of the driver of a white Ford Focus who shouted at the attacker.

A pedestrian is also captured on the images, taken at around 7.10pm on January 12.

A force spokesman said: "Police are keen to speak to these people who they believe may hold vital information as witnesses."

Police are urging anyone with information about this, no matter how insignificant it may seem to call 101.
