Multi-million plan for new Walsall heritage centre backed
Multi-million pound plans for a new heritage centre in Walsall have been backed by council chiefs.

Firm plans are being drawn up to combine Walsall Leather Museum, the Local History Centre and Walsall Museum under one roof.
A new heritage strategy has been approved by Walsall Council including bringing collections together. Consultation will take place with the community to help plan the facility which could cost more than £6 million. Other objectives are increasing access to historical resources and more educational opportunities.
