Consultation launched over plans to open Wolverhampton free school
A consultation has been launched over plans to open a new free school in Wolverhampton.
The British Sikh School is due to open in Blakenhall in September next year, initially to cater for 120 Year 7 pupils, with numbers set to rise to 840 at full capacity.
The school will be run with a Sikh ethos and will be open to children of all faiths or none.
As part of a statutory consultation a meeting will be held at Molineux on January 10 from 5pm to 8pm.
Project manager Manoher Singh, said he was keen to hear the views of people in the community.
He added: "At the British Sikh School children will receive a well-rounded education with access to learning opportunities that will be life changing. We hope that parents will see the school is the right choice for their children."
The consultation runs until January 15. To complete the survey visit thebritishsikhschool.com
