Man arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life after West Bromwich blaze

Detectives investigating a suspicious fire at a family home in West Bromwich have arrested a man on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life.

The arrest follows a fire at a house on Ruskin Street, West Bromwich, in the early hours of September 7.

A mother, her two sons and a grandson were forced to escape the house in the blaze.

Police detained the 57-year-old from Bromyard in Herefordshire on November 27. He has since been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
