Second man charged with murder of missing Sandwell woman

A second man has been charged with the murder of missing Sandwell woman, Lidia Pascale.

Thomas Ricketts was charged with Lidia's murder just before midnight last night.

The 37-year-old, from Wolverhampton will appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court today.

Detectives are now treating Lidia's disappearance as a murder inquiry and are working with Romanian authorities to keep her family informed of developments.

Lidia was last seen on the evening of Wednesday, November 19, in West Bromwich.

Born in Romania, Lidia has been in the UK for about a year and stays at addresses in Smethwick and Foleshill, Coventry.

As part of the investigation a property in High Street, West Bromwich has been sealed off by police while forensic enquiries are carried out.

Lidia is described as a 4ft 11ins tall white woman, slim with black shoulder length straight hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a black jacket and white jeans.

Matthew Cherrington, 32, was charged with murder earlier this week. He appeared in court where he was remanded until his next court appearance.
