One-year-old girl critically injured after reported fall
A one-year-old girl was critically injured after reportedly falling from a window at a house in Tipton.
Paramedics and police say they were called to Highfield Road, in Tipton shortly before 11am today.
West Midlands Police spokesman Lee Page said: "Police were called to Highfield Road, Tipton at around 10.55am to a report of an injured child.
"Officers are carrying out inquiries and these are currently at a very early stage."
Councillor Mahboob Hussain, Sandwell Council's deputy leader, confirmed the property involved was a council owned home.
He said: "We are aware of an incident involving a child reportedly falling from a first floor window at a council home in Highfield Road, Tipton.
"Until we have more details, we cannot comment further other than to say our thoughts are with the child and their family."
