Man stabbed in West Bromwich robbery
A man was stabbed in the chest during a robbery in West Bromwich today in which thieves made off with his wallet and a lighter.
Police were called after the 30-year-old man was attacked in Meadow Avenue, on the Charlemont estate, at around 12.15am.
He suffered a puncture wound to the chest causing a collapsed lung and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Police spokesman Lee Page said the injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
Officers has released a description of a man and a woman wanted in connection with the attack.
The man is described as white, aged between 25 and 35, with a skinny, around six ft in height with stumble wearing dark jeans and trainers.
The woman is also white, aged between 20 to 30, with a skinny build and around four ft 10 ins in height.
