Two injured in Cannock crash still critical
Two people injured in a crash in Staffordshire are still in a critical condition in hospital.
The news comes as police today issued another appeal for witnesses to the crash to come forward.
It happened on the A460 Lodge Lane near the Churchbridge island in Cannock on May 29 at around 12.15am and involved a Citroen Berlingo van and silver Vauxhall Corsa.
A 27-year-old woman and man, aged 20, both travelling in the Corsa, were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the van, a 22-year-old man, suffered minor injuries.
Several people stopped at the scene of the crash and helped the casualties until the emergency services arrived.
Pc Talbot, from the CMPG collision investigation unit, said: "This was a serious collision and I would like to thank those who stopped to assist but would appeal for anyone who witnessed the incident and hasn't yet come forward to contact me."
