Six firms in pipeline for West Bromwich New Square
Six new businesses for the New Square Shopping Centre in West Bromwich are set to be announced in the next fortnight.
Centre manager Steve Burr said the new tenants, including shops and places to eat, were expected to take eight units in the 473,000 sq ft complex between them.
It follows the centre's most successful month for visitor numbers since its opening on July 11 last year.
In April a record 475,000 shoppers visited the centre's shops, restaurants and cafes.
"We were even busier than we were at Christmas," said Mr Burr.
He said the centre had now attracted 3.8 million visitors in total since its opening and since February had seen a 35 per cent rise.
"We have had 12 new stores open since July and more than 80 per cent of our floor space is now let and trading."
