Boy, 15, arrested after daylight bank robbery

A teenage boy has been arrested following a robbery at a bank in broad daylight.

A cash delivery driver was approached by two males at Lloyds Bank in Lichfield Road, Stafford, at around 1.30pm yesterday afternoon.

Police say the pair stole 'a quantity of cash', before escaping on a black and yellow motorbike. They both wore dark clothing and motorcycle helmets.

Fortunately the security guard was not injured.

A 15-year-old boy from Stafford has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in police custody for questioning.
