A crackdown has been launched on street dealers pushing class A and B drugs in West Bromwich town centre.
Police are taking action after complaints of low-level dealing taking place. It will include stopping and searching any dealers that have been caught on CCTV regularly operating in the area.
It comes in the wake of a separate operation to reduce complaints of nuisance drinkers in the town's streets, has already seen four problem drunks kicked out of the country in recent months.
Insp Akeel Najib, from Sandwell police, said: "We're working on low-level street dealing in and around the town centre.
"We've had intelligence that this is taking place and it includes some class A drugs like heroin and class B drug cannabis.
"We've had reports from members of the community and some of this has been picked up on cameras around the town.
"When we recognise any known dealers, we will confront them and search them."
