Officers are appealing to the public to trace Jacob Butler and today issued his picture in a bid to find his whereabouts.

They say Jacob had been living at an address in the Stockport area but is believed to have travelled back to Dudley.

Officers believe Jacob, who has been missing before, may be staying locally.

Despite extensive enquiries, he has not yet been found.

The teenager disappeared from his home in Stockport on Friday, April 4. He is described as white, 4ft 10ins tall, with short straight dark brown hair.

Jacob is of slim build and has a gold stud in his left ear as well as a silver stud in his lower lip.

It is thought he could be wearing a blue Adidas tracksuit and a blue T shirt with yellow writing.

Pc Graham Lowe, from Sandwell Public Protection, said: "We are appealing for Jacob and anyone who knows where he is staying to contact us and let us know he is safe and well."

Anyone with any information about Jacob's whereabouts should contact police on 101 or the independent charity Missing People on 116 000.
