The accident happened on the A41 Holyhead Road, at the junction with Stafford Lane, at around 11.20am.

Police said a 62-year-old man who had been driving a black Ford Fiesta was taken to New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton, along with a 65-year-old man who had been driving a white Volkswagen Polo.

A grey Lexus was also involved in the crash.

It is believed that the injuries were minor.

The road was cleared just after 12.30am.

It comes after a school coach crashed nearby, at the junction between the A41 and Wrottesley Park Road, last week.

Eighteen pupils from Adams Grammar School in Newport were travelling on a Hills coach when it was in collision with a car on March 10.

And in February, two people had to be taken to hospital after three cars crashed there.

One person suffered neck and back injuries and another had chest injuries following the accident at the junction between the A41 Holyhead Road and Stafford Lane.
