Tributes to father, 94, killed as car crashed into house
Tributes have been paid to a retired accountant who died when his car crashed into a house in the village where he lived.
Friends have described Charles Blagg, known to many as Mick, as a true gentleman.
The 94-year-old war veteran from Brocton died on Monday after his Jaguar S-Type hit the front of a property in The Green. Mr Blagg was a past president of Brocton Hall Golf Club, former joint secretary of the Stafford Railway Building Society and former secretary of Stafford Chamber of Trade.
The father-of-three was a retired partner of Dean Statham accountancy firm.
Stafford Borough Council leader Mike Heenan, a current partner at the firm, said: "He was a true gentleman and had an absolutely tremendous character."
Mr Blagg's funeral is being held at Holy Trinity Church in Baswich at 11am on Wednesday. He leaves behind his wife June, son Chris and daughters Jenny and Miranda.
