Woman cut free after car hits tree in Stafford

A woman was cut free from a car after it collided with a tree.

Firefighters, police and paramedics were called to the crash in West Way, Stafford.

It happened at just after midnight on Sunday and fire crews used cutting equipment to help free a woman from the car.

The victim, believed to be in her 30s, suffered superficial facial injuries and was taken to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire.

A man was also taken to the same hospital with minor injuries.
