Winning Moves, which created the board, has said the Wolverhampton edition has gone very close to selling out since its launch in October.

They say a third run could be imminent due to sales that have been 'beyond expectation'. Iconic city landmarks such as Molineux, West Park, Wolverhampton Art Gallery and the Express & Star all feature on the board.

Dan Taylor, head of custom games at Winning Moves, said: "The board has been flying off shelves. We reckon come Christmas the only ones left will be the ones on Santa's sleigh." They estimate one in three households in Wolverhampton will play the city's version of the game this festive period.

Expressions of interest have already come flooding in from as far away as Australia, America and China.
