Woman dies in train collision

A woman has died after being hit by a train.

A Virgin train running from London Euston to Wolverhampton struck the person near Smethwick Galton Bridge Station at 10am on Saturday.

A British Transport Police spokesman said the incident was not being treated as suspicious.
