From Jaws to Star Wars as thousands flock to Comic Con at Birmingham NEC
Tens of thousands of movie, comic and film fans turned out in their droves to see stars of the big and small screen at the Memorabilia and Comic Con show.
James Bond star Richard Kiel, who was charging £20 for an autograph, was among the stars who turned out for the convention at the NEC.
Famous faces signed photographs and had their pictures taken with fans, alongside stalls selling and displaying memorabilia and other collectables.
Many who flocked to the show, which took place at the weekend, also donned costumes for the occasion, with Darth Vader, Spiderman and Dr Who among those seen in the arena.
Ian Weatherhogg from Wolverhampton had his picture taken with Kiel who played Jaws in the James Bond films.
The 44-year-old, who was with sons Jesse, 21 and Liam, 17, said: "The kids came to get their comics and I came to see Richard. I wanted to meet him as when we were growing up I loved James Bond."
Jason Wardman, 41, from Wellington in Telford was showing his K9, Tardis and Davros replicas which visitors could pose for pictures with.
He said: "It's a hobby gone mad. I'm a massive Dr Who fan. I originally built the Tardis for my son Adam's birthday party about five years ago, then I built a Dalek and K9. I come to this show every year."
Simon Greenaway from Bloxwich-based Sigma Arts was exhibiting as part of the Replica Prop Forum.
The 25-year-old who lives in Great Wyrley and is a carpenter by trade said: "I do the Predator replicas. I've always loved art and films and so it is just a blend of the two. I've come here for the last three years, it's a great event. The variety of stuff here is really good and it is a good place to showcase work."
Former Coronation Street and Carry On film actress Amanda Barrie was signing pictures for £15, while Loose Women panellist Sherrie Hewson was also charging £15. She said: "I have to say I'm absolutely gobsmacked, I didn't realise it was so big or popular or how wonderful the people would be."
Former Quadrophenia and EastEnders actor Phil Daniels, who charged £15 for an autograph, said: "It's nice to see so many different sorts of people," and joked "Captain America is a very big fan of mine and so is Darth Vader."
