Chris hits bullseye with proposal at Wolverhampton Grand Slam of Darts final
Chris Buxton hit the bullseye when he popped the question to his girlfriend on the final night of the Grand Slam of Darts.
The darts fan took his unsuspecting partner Janine Ward on to the stage at the Civic Hall in Wolverhampton last night.
She was expecting to take part in a competition but was shocked when Chris got down on one knee instead.
A tearful Janine accepted and the pair are now looking forward to planning their big day.
Fantastic Phil Taylor wins fifth William Hill Grand Slam of darts title
It came as the nine-day Grand Slam of Darts came to an end last night with Phil 'The Power' Taylor claiming victory over Robert Thornton.
Chris had contacted the organisers before the event to set up his elaborate proposal. Master of Ceremonies John McDonald announced Chris had won a random draw to come up on stage and throw for the bullseye to win a free bet from sponsors William Hill.
But after being given the traditional walk on to stage to Chase The Sun, Chris, from Leicester, dropped to one knee.

He said: "We both love darts and we've been wanting to come to the Grand Slam for a while.
"We've been together for two-and-a-half years and I've been dying to ask Janine to marry me, and this was an ideal place.
"I was really nervous and I'm delighted that Janine said yes – we've got to plan the wedding now."
An emotional Janine added: "I thought we were going to throw darts on stage and I wasn't looking forward to it because I'm not very good but for Chris to propose was a huge surprise.
"I wasn't expecting it – I'm lost for words."
Thousands of darts fans have flocked to the Civic Hall again this year for the competition, which is growing in popularity every year.
Staffordshire-born Taylor cemented his reputation as the best player in the world last night by clinching his fifth Grand Slam of Darts crown.
