Bloxwich bridge demolition to start next week

Demolition work starts next week at a bridge being rebuilt as part of the electrification of the Chase Line.

Workers will begin tearing down the Broad Lane bridge in Bloxwich on Monday.

Walsall North MP David Winnick and Cannock Chase MP Aidan Burley are going along to take a closer look.

The work being carried out by Network Rail is costing £3 million. Broad Lane is closed between Cresswell Crescent and Turnberry Road, with diversions in place.
