The man was injured near Stafford Railway Station yesterday and had to be airlifted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. The 29-year-old's injuries were not life-threatening.
The power at the railway station was switched off for some time while emergency services dealt with the incident at around 8.40am yesterday.
Trains travelling through Stafford were delayed by the incident.
The power was back on an hour later.
British Transport Police spokesman Brian Price said officers established there was nothing suspicious so a police investigation was not required.
