Wolverhampton hopeful Joseph Whelan wows X Factor with son Kian as lucky mascot
X Factor reject Joseph Whelan has returned to the show with a bang as the Black Country singer went back in front of the judges – and won them all over.

The 27-year-old, who failed to make it to the judge's houses last year, is now through to the boot camp stages of the TV talent show.
And while Joseph was impressing the judges during the weekend show, his five-year-old son and lucky mascot Kian was winning plenty of fans of his own. Viewers went mad for the youngster on Twitter after watching him cheer on his father while sat on judge Nicole Scherzinger's lap.
Kian was invited into the judge's room during Joseph's first audition, where he was given a big hug from the former Pussycat Doll.
Kian was seen sporting a hat and braces combination on Saturday night's show, which also drew plenty of comments from the judges and viewers.
"I definitely think he's going to be Mr Popular when he goes back to school today," said Joseph, who works part time as a builder.
Joseph is not the only Wolverhampton hopeful to make it into the boot camp stage. One member of the band Dynamix, 24-year-old Luke, is from Wolverhampton.
The group won three yes votes from the judges despite them suggesting his band mate and lead singer See See should go solo. She decided to stick with her pals.
