The state-of-the-art shopping centre opened its doors on September 4, 2003 and welcomed 270,000 visitors on just the first day alone.

Now 10 years and nearly 400 million shoppers later, those who work and visit can enjoy a range of attractions and promotions to celebrate the milestone.

The iconic bull, affectionately known as Bully, is now sporting its 10th birthday outfit, complete with party hat, blower, and spinning bow tie. Visitors can win prizes by snapping themselves with the dressed-up sculpture and posting their pictures to social networking site Instagram.

There is also a special second bull on display this month, near St Martin's Church, where people can attach special padlocks, onto which they can write birthday messages. The padlocks will be available from the customer services desk, and can make a donation to the Bullring's chosen charity, the Birmingham Children's Hospital.

Meanwhile Cadbury's has created a special 950cm by 750cm chocolate model. The design is based on Bullring's 'We Are So City' marketing model, and consists of key landmarks from

Birmingham including Selfridges, the Rotunda, the new library and the Custard Factory. It is on display in the centre.

The finale to the celebrations comes on September 28 with a visit from chart toppers The Saturdays.

Throughout that day the centre will be holding four viewings of The Show: Ten, a free fashion show hosted by Saturdays band member Molly King. Then, after the 7pm show, the full band will perform a selection of their hits to those lucky enough to get inside the building.
