M6 shut during police incident
Motorists faced long delays on the M6 in the West Midlands this afternoon after police closed the motorway in both directions.

An incident, currently under investigation by the police, took place at around 3pm between junctions 10 for Walsall and 10a for Essington.
Both carriageways were closed for some time between junctions 10 and 11 for Cannock.
The northbound carriageway was reopened less than an hour later and traffic on the southbound carriageway was allowed to pass the scene by 4.30pm.
