The ground floor of a building at the Edward Street Hospital, West Bromwich, will be redeveloped to create the centre, which will include sensory rooms, information centre and community cafe.
The project, run by Black Country Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, is aimed at supporting those with the disease.
The trust secured the £944,000 funding from 'the improving the environment of care for people with dementia' capital fund.
The venue, which will be called the Lighthouse Project, will support people from across the Black Country.
