The former Oceana building is being given a £750,000 revamp and will reopen under the new name of Faces.
The name has been selected after residents were asked to make suggestions.
Oceana, in Bilston Street, closed last year when its owners Luminar went into administration, with the loss of 75 jobs.
But it has been taken over by No Saints, a new venture set up by the former boss of Luminar Stephen Thomas.
