Top TV professor to visit University of Wolverhampton

One of the country's best known scientists will pay a visit to Wolverhampton next week.

Lord Robert Winston, a professor, doctor, scientist, politician and television presenter, will be at the University of Wolverhampton as part of its 21st birthday celebrations.

Lord Winston, best known for his tv programmes Child of our Time and the Bafta award-winning The Human Body, will speak to staff, students and invited guests at the event on Monday.

In his lecture at the university's city campus he will talk about advancements in science and technology in respect to human health.

Professor John Darling, dean of research and head of the research policy unit at the university, said: "Lord Winston is a world-renowned scientist and his visit is a huge coup for the university."
