Prince Andrew to open Walsall school during trip
Prince Andrew will open a new school and £3 million 'hub' for new businesses when he visits Walsall next week.
The Duke of York is going to see the Black Country University Technical College in Bloxwich on Monday. The £9.5 million UTC was created at the site of the former Sneyd Community School in September 2011.
He will then go to the Social Enterprise Hub at the Goldmine Building in Lower Hall Lane, where he will see the new Walsall Studio School and sixth form, which opens in September,
He will be meeting school staff and business people who are working together to make sure children get an education relevant to the workplaces where they will hope to find work after they leave.
Goldmine is part of Walsall's Social Enterprise Zone which was set up to provide office space and business support to entrepreneurs who want to help their community.
