Former Walsall skipper Bill Guttridge's funeral date announced

Tributes were today paid to the late Walsall footballer Bill Guttridge, as it was announced his funeral will be on April 19.

Mr Guttridge, who captained the Saddlers during one of their most successful periods, died aged 82 on Saturday.

He suffered from Parkinson's Disease. Mr Guttridge led Walsall to back-to-back promotions from 1959-61.

The funeral is at St Lawrence Church in Darlaston.
