Cannabis factory is found at Walsall flats

A cannabis factory was found in a block of flats in Walsall after police were called to investigate a burglary, a court heard.

Around 130 plants were found at two flats in Wolverhampton Street, Willenhall.

Walsall magistrates heard around 100 plants were found at defendant Terence Woolley's flat.

The 54-year-old pleaded guilty to cultivating cannabis.

Police also discovered another 30 plants in an empty downstairs flat of which Woolley said he had no knowledge.

He was committed to Wolverhampton Crown Court for sentence.
