Facebook "wanted" poster suspect is arrested by West Midlands Police
A theft and assault suspect who designed his own 'wanted' poster and put it on Facebook was this afternoon arrested.
In one message put on the website, Anthony Swinburn wrote about his dismay at the recent snowy weather and in another he described how he was about to tuck into a steak, onion rings, chicken wings and fries.
Despite the fact that detectives were on the hunt for the 28-year-old, he even put details on his profile about where he was living.
West Midlands Police arrested the 28-year-old in Purcell Road, Coventry, 24 hours after the Express & Star revealed he was posting messages on Facebook.
The force said Swinburn, who had detailed on his profile that he lived in Coventry, was wanted on warrant for theft and common assault offences.
But today, police in the Longford area of Coventry took to Twitter to announce the development:
