Badly hurt man found near Great Barr Aldi

A man was discovered with serious head injuries near to a Great Barr supermarket today.

Ambulance crews were called to the Aldi store in Birmingham Road at around 5.25am after reports of a serious assault .

Police were called by the ambulance service to investigate.

The man, believed to be in his 40s, remains in a serious condition.
