The legendary rockers announced the show at the city's Civic Hall earlier this month as part of a tour that will see the band's original line-up reunited for the first time in 30 years.

Tickets went on sale for the March 13 gig at 9am today and were completely sold out within seven minutes.

A second date has now been announced for March 7 at the same venue.

Tickets are now on sale priced at £38.50 and £48.50.

Founders Francis Rossi, Rick Parfitt, Alan Lancaster and John Coghlan were in already in a band when they adopted the name in 1967.

Guitarists Rossi and Parfitt continued under the name during the 1980s playing many sell-out concert arena dates.

Tickets are available from the Midland Box Office.
