Bids failure over former brothel site
An offer has still to be made for a former massage parlour which is on the market to help fund a £2 million unpaid court bill.
Cuddles' premises in Hagley Road, Bearwood, was seized earlier this year.
It used to be run by Carl Pritchett – jailed for two years in 2006 after a raid on the brothel in 2005.
The Crime Prosecution Service is selling it to fund a £2 million confiscation order – made in 2009 but still unpaid.
A spokesman today confirmed efforts had failed.
Vinny Bolina confirmed no-one had made an offer so far. He also said there were no plans to do anything to make it more attractive to encourage buyers.
Pritchett was initially jailed for two years in 2006 after a raid on the brothel in 2005 when police found 19 women from 10 countries were employed there as sex workers.
Papers found at the brothel showed that it had an average of 490 clients a week, bringing in an estimated £6m profit from 1999 to 2005, although this estimate was later reduced to £3.5m.
Pritchett, of The Parade, Dudley, was jailed for a further seven years in 2009 after failing to pay £2m demanded under the Proceeds of Crime Act by prosecutors.
Pritchett had re-let the property, which was trading as Bunnys.
