Drivers were caught in delays of more than 30 minutes today after a two-car crash on the M5 at West Bromwich.
The collision was on the slip road for junction one on the southbound carriageway. Police and an ambulance attended the scene.
The crash happened at around 7.30am, but delays from emergency services clearing the scene meant delays hit roads around the motorway junction, including the A41 Expressway and Kenrick Way.
Tailbacks continued until around 9am, despite police and ambulance leaving the scene shortly after 8am.
People in the cars are believed to have suffered minor injuries only, but were taken to City Hospital in Birmingham for precautionary checks.
