Warmer weather to make return
The sun was making a return today, just in time for the weekend.
The sun was making a return today, just in time for the weekend.
That is good news for around 90,000 people at the V Festival at Weston Park, who had to endure torrential rain last night as they set up camp.
Today, with high pressure spreading across the UK, temperatures were expected to reach 24C (75F).
People at the music festival, on the border of Wolverhampton and Shropshire, were being urged to keep hydrated and to apply sun tan lotion.
Temperatures in southern England are expected to reach as high as 32C (90F) this weekend, although forecasters say good weather will break up mid-week.
Police were called to a ticket store in Cannock Shopping Centre yesterday when tickets for the V Festival did not turn up in time.
Find U Tickets worker Darryl Kenyon said: "All our tickets have come late. We are doing all we can to sort it out."
