Tenders out for Oak House barns bid

A major milestone has been marked in the £1.4 million restoration of West Bromwich's Grade II-listed Oak House barns, as tenders opened today to find firms to do the work.

A major milestone has been marked in the £1.4 million restoration of West Bromwich's Grade II-listed Oak House barns, as tenders opened today to find firms to do the work.

The work will be jointly funded by Sandwell Council and the Heritage Lottery Fund. It is hoped the revamp will help attract an extra 30,000 visitors a year .

The closing date for firms to apply is August 2.
