More than 100 people headed to the Queen Street centre to hear the goalkeeping legend, who also shared his thoughts on today's game and the Euro 2012 championships.
Fred Gleeson, centre manager, said: "We had an absolutely excellent morning with Bert.
"There were even people queuing outside waiting for Bert to come.Lots of people had their photograph taken with him and he signed autographs for everyone who wanted one.
"Everyone agreed he is a perfect gentleman."
Mr Gleeson said Bert had shared tales comparing his own footballing career to today's.
"He said when he was a player he was on £15 a week during the football season and £10 during close season," added Mr Gleeson.
A raffle was held to raise more than £100 for Bert's chosen charity the Alzheimers Society.
