The Only Way Is Essex star Sam Faiers brought a touch of glamour to the Black Country as she met fans at Dudley's Merry Hill shopping centre.

The beauty was at WH Smith on Saturday where she was signing copies of her new book Living Life the Essex Way – TOWIE and Me.

Hundreds of people packed into the store to meet the model and clothing boutique owner, with some waiting for five hours.

First in the queue was Kris Totney, aged 17, of Rowley Regis who had arrived at 8.30am with two of his friends.

The Halesowen College student said: "I love watching The Only Way is Essex. She is so glam, I was so excited to meet her."

His partner Pamela Sodhi, aged 16, added: "I am a really huge fans of the show and of Sam. It just makes me want to go to Essex and see what it is like there."

Sam, who is dating co-star Joey Essex, said the relationship was going well.

"The book is about a mixture of things.

"It is about me growing up and being at school and going into a normal job ad then the show coming and being an instant success overnight and also give tips on how to get the Essex look,"she added.
